Job Description:
1. Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school with a current license to practice through the Arkansas State Medical Board. Additional education in quality and utilization management through continuing medical education programs and self-study.

2. Training and Experience: Minimum of five (5) years experience in hospital clinical practice. Utilization management experience as a member of the UM oversight committee or past physician advisor experience preferred.

3. Safety Sensitive: YES

DESCRIPTION:

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) provides leadership, direction, and planning for a wide variety of medical and related activities for the hospital. He/she will develop and maintain collegial relationships with physicians and associates to promote engagement in safe, quality patient care. The CMO provides guidance and encourages medical staff engagement in initiatives to ensure effective delivery of medical services in compliance with regulatory entities pertaining to the practice of medicine. He/she is committed to the organization’s mission to improve quality of health and well being in the communities we serve through compassionate care and is a role model to the medical staff.
