President Welcome
Welcome to the Arkansas Chapter of Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)!
It is truly an honor to serve as President of the Arkansas Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. As I step into this role, I do so with gratitude, excitement, and a deep appreciation for the incredible leaders who have shaped this chapter before me. I want to recognize the many past presidents whose vision and service built the strong foundation we continue to grow today. This chapter has a legacy of excellence, innovation, and collaboration that makes me proud to be part of Arkansas HFMA. HFMA is the leading membership organization for healthcare financial management executives and leaders with more than 40,000 members. The Arkansas chapter is one of 68 national chapters with approximately 700 members.
As we begin this new year together, I also want to place a special focus on helping our early careerists get connected and engaged within the chapter. Building relationships, finding mentors, and creating opportunities for professional growth are essential to developing the next generation of healthcare finance leaders.
We want every member — especially those new to the industry or HFMA — to feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to participate. HFMA is at its best when members feel connected, supported, and empowered to grow both professionally and personally. One of the things that makes our chapter so special is the way we connect healthcare professionals from every corner of Arkansas. Whether you work in a large health system, physician practice, consulting, revenue cycle, or one of our incredible Critical Access Hospitals, your voice matters here.
The Arkansas Chapter provides 4 quarterly education conference in addition to day meetings throughout the year for revenue cycle, Women in Leadership, CPE and CFO Forum. I am especially excited to continue expanding opportunities for our CAH members through initiatives like the PIG Trail for CAH — creating meaningful collaboration, networking, and shared learning opportunities that recognize the unique challenges and strengths of rural healthcare organizations across our state. Some of the best ideas in healthcare finance are happening on roads less traveled, and Arkansas HFMA is stronger when we learn from one another.
Our chapter has long been recognized nationally for educational excellence, innovation, and member engagement, including receiving the Robert M. Shelton Award for sustained chapter excellence and most recently the 2025 Success Award in Innovation for the “PIG Trail to OneHFMA.”
As we look ahead, I hope you will continue to engage, volunteer, mentor, learn, and connect through Arkansas HFMA. This chapter is more than meetings and education credits — it is a community of professionals who genuinely care about each other and about improving healthcare across our state.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve. I look forward to a memorable year together.
