Chief Financial Officer

Company Name: Johnson Regional Medical Center
Job Location: Clarksville, AR
Job Position Type: Full Time

Job Description:
JRMC has been serving the population of Johnson, Logan, Franklin, and Pope counties since 1922 (35,000 – 40,000 in the service area). The initial vision and commitment of local physicians to care for sick patients that started in a meager boarding house has now become a first-class healthcare facility licensed for 90 beds. JRMC provides a wide variety of health services, including mental health (IP & OP), orthopedics, general surgery, women’s health, and the only accredited sleep center between Fort Smith and Little Rock. The medical staff is approximately 40.

The CFO, reporting to the CEO, is responsible for the Revenue Cycle (business office, HIM, patient access, patient accounting), Materials Management, Dietary, EVS, and Case Management departments. Direct reports include department heads, a Controller, and two accounting clerk staff. The position is also a key member of the senior executive team, which works collaboratively to oversee all aspects of the hospital.

Clarksville, Arkansas, the Johnson County seat with a population of approximately 10,000, is located on Interstate 40, twelve miles east of Arkansas Wine Country, 44 miles north of Mount Magazine State Park, the state’s newest state park and highest peak, about 60 miles from Fort Smith and about 100 miles from Little Rock. It is also near the banks of the Arkansas River and Lake Dardanelle. It is home to the University of the Ozarks and the Walton Fine Arts Center. With the entire northern half of the county in the Ozark National Forest, scenic beauty and outdoor opportunities abound – canoeing, fishing, hiking, and camping. Clarksville is a gateway to Ark. 21, the Ozark Highlands National Scenic Byway, which leads north through the Ozark National Forest to Eureka Springs. In July, the city celebrates its Peach Festival, the oldest outdoor festival in the state of Arkansas.

Candidate qualifications include at least five years’ healthcare accounting and financial leadership experience, with a strong preference for prior CFO responsibilities. Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, be an advocate of teamwork, still be able to work in the numbers when needed and strong mentoring skills. A bachelor’s degree is required, while a Master’s and CPA are preferred.
